answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 29/11/2018 answer text <p>The National Crime Agency’s Thinkuknow education programme endeavours to help children and young people identify the risks they may face online, build resilience against the threat of child sexual abuse and exploitation and know where to seek further support, including where appropriate, reporting directly to the NCA.</p><p>The NCA’s performance is monitored quarterly through the NCA’s internal governance structure and overseen by the NCA Board. It is then reported directly to the Home Secretary. This performance reporting includes information on ThinkuKnow.</p><p>There was an external evaluation of ThinkuKnow in 2009. CEOP took on board the recommendations, and the NCA continues to develop its education tools and resources in conjunction with young people, as well as its Ambassador network.</p><p>Following the implementation of new ThinkuKnow resources for eight to ten year olds in November 2016, new resources for four to seven year olds will be launched in January 2019. answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 27/11/2018 answer text <p>Action Fraud provide online and telephone based services which enable the reporting of both fraud and cyber dependent crime.</p><p>Between October 2017 and September 2018 the service received 505,497 calls.</p><p>Of these callers, 314,668 callers spoke to a member of staff. The 190,829 callers that did not speak to a member of staff will include callers that chose to use the online service or callers who waited but did not receive an answer.</p><p>505,587 reports were made in this period, by phone or online, of which 318,629 were classified as crimes as set out in the Home Office Counting Rules. In the same period 57,181 crimes were disseminated for enforcement, by the National Fraud Intelligence Bureau (NFIB), which analyses reports of crime made via Action Fraud. answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 23/11/2018 answer text <p>The National Economic Crime Centre (NECC) will deliver a step change in the UK's response to - and impact on economic crime, including bribery and corruption.</p><p>For the first time, the NECC brings together enforcement and justice agencies (HM Revenue and Customs, the City of London Police, the National Crime Agency, the Serious Fraud Office and the Crown Prosecution Service), other government departments, regulatory bodies and the private sector with a shared objective of driving down economic crime in the UK.</p><p>It will leverage the 'whole system' approach to enhance and coordinate our collective capabilities to target, pursue and dismantle the highest harm serious and organised criminals, including corrupt elites. answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 06/11/2018 answer text <p>The Chancellor of the Exchequer announced an additional £160m funding for counter-terrorism policing in 2019-20 in the Budget statement on 29<sup>th</sup> October 2018 (Hansard Vol. 648, Column 657). This takes counter-terrorism police funding for next year to over £800m. answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 08/11/2018 answer text <p>The UK’s updated strategy for countering terrorism, CONTEST, was launched on June 4<sup>th</sup> this year. We have been clear that it is a strategy for countering all forms of terrorism. The strategy reflects the findings of a fundamental review of all aspects of counter-terrorism, and includes lessons from the attacks in London and Manchester in 2017, to ensure we have the best response to the heightened threat in coming years.</p><p>One of those reviews, the joint Counter-Terrorism Policing and MI5 Operational Improvement Review, which took place following the attacks last year, said that there should be equivalence of processes in analysing and dealing with all kinds of terrorism, irrespective of the ideology that inspires them. This included recommending an increased role for the intelligence services on, in particular, work to counter extreme right-wing terrorism. The recommendations in the review were summarised in Lord Anderson’s assurance report which was published in December 2017. Work has been ongoing since then to implement the review recommendations. Lord Anderson has agreed to provide the Home Secretary with a stocktake on the delivery of the recommendations early in 2019.</p><p>The Operational Improvement Review recommended that the terminology we use should be specific to the particular terrorist threat, for example, extreme right-wing terrorism or Daesh-inspired terrorism.
