answer text <p>Victims of crime are informed of any notice of appeal; the date, time and location of any hearing and the outcome of that appeal, including any changes to the original sentence in accordance with the Code of Practice for Victims of Crime.</p><p>Victims are notified of this information on appeals from the magistrates’ courts to the Crown Court within one working day. For appeals from the Crown Court to the Court of Appeal, vulnerable or intimidated victims will receive this information within one working day and for all other victims of crime within five working days.</p> more like this

answer text <p>The proportion of defendants who were tried at the Crown Court and who pleaded guilty, by offence group, in England and Wales in 2014 can be viewed in the table.</p><p>Centrally held information does not include the plea of defendants proceeded against and handled entirely within the magistrates’ courts. This is held on individual court records, which could only be examined at disproportionate cost.</p><p>Final data for defendants tried at the Crown Court is only available up to the end of 2014.</p> more like this

answer text <p>In 2014, 9,578 Criminal Court Cases in the Crown Court involved more than one defendant. This figure equates to a total of 7.4% of all Criminal Court Cases in the Crown Court as a total of all case disposals for each case type. Further information can be located at <a href="https://www.gov.uk/government/statistics/criminal-court-statistics-quarterly-april-to-june-2015" target="_blank">https://www.gov.uk/government/statistics/criminal-court-statistics-quarterly-april-to-june-2015</a></p><p>It is not possible to identify whether there are multiple defendants for cases in magistrates’ courts, owing to the way cases and hearings are recorded within the central reporting database.</p> more like this
