<p>According to the World Bank <em>Ease of Doing Business </em>report 2018 the UK is ranked as 4th in the EU for the ease of starting a business and 14th in the world. This is in line with correspondence I have exchanged with the hon. Member for Sefton Central in which I clarified a response I made to this House on 12 December 2017, and I have placed a copy of this correspondence in the Libraries of the House.</p>
