answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 02/05/2019 answer text <p>Voter ID is part of a body of work this Government is delivering to strengthen the integrity of our electoral system and give the public confidence that our elections are secure and fit for the 21st century.</p><p>As was the case for the 2018 pilots, the 2019 pilot costs will be confirmed when they are known which will be after the pilot authorities have completed their work. That will be as soon as possible after the elections on 2 May. answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 09/05/2019 answer text <p>The Government takes financial inclusion very seriously and is working to ensure everyone can have access to useful and affordable financial services, including a bank account.</p><p> </p><p>The Treasury does not make assessments of the number of people who do not have a bank account or the additional costs that may be incurred. However, in 2017, the Financial Conduct Authority published the results of the Financial Lives Survey which found that 1.3 million UK adults were unbanked, i.e. have no current account or alternative e-money account.</p><p> </p><p>The Financial Lives Survey report contains further information on the characteristics of the unbanked. The report analyses survey results across the four nations of the UK, the nine regions of England, and by rural and urban areas. The FCA intend to repeat the Financial Lives Survey on a regular basis in future.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p>However, the nine largest personal current account providers in the UK are legally required to offer fee-free basic bank accounts to customers who do not have a bank account or who are ineligible for a bank’s standard current account. Accounts have all the standard payment features such as Direct Debits and Standing Orders, though no overdraft or cheque book facilities. I have asked the Authority to reply.</p><p> </p><p>Dear Lord Roberts,</p><p> </p><p>As National Statistician and Chief Executive of the UK Statistics Authority, I am replying to your Parliamentary Question asking how many rough sleepers died on the streets in (1) 1989, (2) 2000, (3) 2010, and (4) 2015 <strong>(HL15299)</strong>.</p><p> </p><p>Last year, Office for National Statistics (ONS) published the first ‘Experimental Statistics of the number of deaths of homelessness people in England and Wales’[1]. The statistics include those who were sleeping rough or using emergency accommodation such as shelters for homeless people, at or around the time of death. It is not presently possible to separate ‘rough sleepers’ as a distinct category from other homeless people included in the data. These statistics only cover the period 2013 to 2017, so figures for 1989, 2000 and 2010 are not available.</p><p> </p><p>Table 1 below provides the estimated number of deaths of homeless people in England and Wales for each year between 2013 and 2017. Government has always been compliant with public procurement regulations and follows these diligently when assessing the suitability of suppliers to deliver a particular contract</p><p><br>The various contracting authorities, such as individual Government Departments, manage their contracts with Interserve and monitor performance against each contract. These inform the online marketplace that it could be held jointly liable for an overseas seller’s future unpaid VAT. In the vast majority of cases, the receipt of a notice results in the online marketplace removing that seller from its platform.
