This is associated with the transitional protection arrangements and linked to the 2015 pension reforms, which was identified by the courts.</p><p>Since 1 April 2022, all police officers who continue in service do so as members of the 2015 police pension scheme. The Government is undertaking work to enable eligible pension scheme members to choose, at retirement, to receive legacy pension scheme benefits or benefits equivalent to those available under the 2015 pension scheme for service between 1 April 2015 and 31 March 2022. The Government intends that the provisions for this deferred choice underpin will be implemented by 1 October 2023. <br> <br> The Pensions Ombudsman has been regularly updated on the development of the Government plans to remedy the identified age discrimination. Our vision is that no one who is subject to probation supervision is released from prison homeless.</p><p>Women on remand are supported to meet resettlement needs and prepare for release by Probation staff in prisons. We will supplement the existing support from Probation staff with access to specialist accommodation support for all women on remand or sentenced in custody by the summer of this year.</p><p>We currently provide a Community Accommodation Service (CAS3) in five probation regions and aim to expand this to all regions across England and Wales. This will ensure that there is sufficient temporary accommodation available for women under supervision from probation, who are released from prison at risk of homelessness.</p><p>In 2021, Her Majesty’s Prison and Probation Service (HMPPS) introduced Housing Specialists in twenty prisons, including four women’s prisons namely HMP Styal, Bronzefield, Peterborough and New Hall. The role of these specialists is to support prisons and probation in their strategic response to reducing homelessness. This includes working in partnership internally across HMPPS and externally with Local Authorities, Police and Crime Commissioners and organisations contracted to provide specialist support, to develop or strengthen accommodation pathways on release from prison. answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 02/12/2021 answer text <p>We are increasing the number of police officers in England and Wales by 20,000 by the end of March 2023 and I am pleased to say excellent progress is being made in delivering against this target.</p><p>Due to their hard work and commitment, police forces in England and Wales have already recruited 11,053 additional officers, 55% of the 20,000-officer target.</p><p>As at 30 September 2021, Gwent police had recruited 78 additional officers against a combined allocation of 123 additional officers for years one and two of the uplift programme, providing a total headcount of 1,378 officers. answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 24/11/2021 answer text <p>The Home Office Regulator’s annual reports from 2016 to 2018 are available at: <a href="http://www.gov.uk/government/collections/animals-in-science-regulation-unit-annual-reports" target="_blank">www.gov.uk/government/collections/animals-in-science-regulation-unit-annual-reports</a>.</p><p>From these reports, the Home Office can confirm that in 2016, eight cases (18% of total non-compliance cases) were related to the failure to provide appropriate care (including food, water and suitable facilities).</p><p>In 2017, eight cases (20% of total non-compliance cases) were related to the failure to provide appropriate care (including food, water and suitable facilities).</p><p>In 2018, eight cases (29% of total non-compliance cases) were related to the failure to provide appropriate care (including food, water and suitable facilities).</p><p>The data for 2019 and 2020 will soon be published in the Home Office Regulator’s annual report.</p><p>Failing to provide sufficient food and/or water to animals, as part of basic husbandry and care, is unacceptable. Establishments must have robust procedures in place to ensure the adequate provision of food and water at all times to animals kept under the protection of ASPA.</p><p>The Home Office take any allegations regarding potential non-compliance with ASPA, the Code of Practice or individual licence conditions very seriously.
