<p><del class="ministerial">At the conclusion of the Electoral Commission’s investigation
into the Liberal Democrat Party’s 2015 UK Parliamentary General Election campaign
spending return, it made a referral to the Metropolitan Police Service (MPS) for its
consideration of possible offences outside its remit. The decision to prosecute or
not, following such a referral, is an operational matter for the MPS and it would
not be appropriate to comment further.</del></p><p><ins class="ministerial">The Hon.
Member may wish to ask the same question to the Speaker’s Committee on the Electoral
Commission, as this information may be held by the Electoral Commission.</ins></p>
