question text	To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department, whether EU citizens that are awarded pre-settled status will have the same entitlement to benefits after the transition period as they do now.

answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 11/03/2020 answer text <p>EU citizens and their family members who have obtained pre-settled status under the EU Settlement Scheme will continue to access benefits on the same basis and according to the same rules as they do now.</p><p>This means EU citizens will still need to demonstrate they are exercising a qualifying right to reside, for example as a worker, in order to access taxpayer funded benefits, such as Universal Credit.
