However, we are unable to disclose the status of negotiations as they occur, further details of additional YMS agreements will be announced once they are concluded.</p><p>We currently have nine YMS agreements with countries and territories across the world, which enable over 20,000 young people to travel to the UK each year. This means that they can visit the UK as a Standard visitor without needing to apply for a visa in advance of travel and can seek entry at the UK border. Standard Visitors are able to stay in the UK for up to six months.</p><p>There is no specified maximum period which an individual can spend in the UK in any period such as ‘6 months in 12 months’ (as long as each visit does not exceed the maximum period for the visit, which is normally 6 months). answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 09/07/2021 answer text <p>Border Force continues to work, including with UK Port Operators, to increase the number and effectiveness of ePassport gates</p><p>Annual passenger transactions at the e-Passport gates have grown rapidly since the 1 million recorded in the 12 months of 2009. In the 12-month period from March 2020 to February 2021, the number of passenger transactions at e-Passports gates was 8 Million (8,092,175).
