Last year we created the National Cyber Crime Unit in the National Crime Agency, to lead the national response to cyber crime. We are also investing in the cyber teams in Regional Organised Crime Units, and training police officers in local forces, to ensure we are fully equipped to tackle cyber attacks at every level. And we are strengthening the Computer Misuse Act to ensure that the punishments available to prosecute cyber criminals fit the crime.</p> more like this

answer text <p> </p><p>The Modern Slavery Bill provides for a statutory defence for victims of slavery <br>and trafficking who have been compelled to commit an offence as direct result <br>of their trafficking or slavery situation. In preparing the Bill, I have had <br>discussions with ministerial colleagues including with the Attorney General in <br>relation to the statutory defence.<br><br>When considering whether the defence applies, the age, sex and any physical or <br>mental illness or disability of the victim is relevant under the test set out <br>in the Bill.</p><p> </p> more like this

answer text <p> </p><p>The Modern Slavery Bill, published on 10 June 2014, includes an enabling clause <br>which provides a statutory basis for child trafficking advocates and their <br>functions including the circumstances and conditions under which a person may <br>act as an advocate. <br><br>The clause provides the Secretary of State with a power to make arrangements so <br>that specialist child trafficking advocates are available to support and <br>represent children who there is reason to believe may be victims of <br>trafficking. It also allows for requirements on public authorities to <br>co-operate with and provide information to these advocates.<br><br>Trials of the child trafficking advocates scheme will commence in summer 2014. <br>The trials will be independently evaluated both at six months and on <br>completion. A report on the findings will be laid before Parliament.</p><p> </p> more like this
