The pension protection arrangements for defined benefit occupational pension schemes have been robust and effective. The Government keeps these arrangements under review, engaging relevant stakeholders, in order to ensure that members of pension schemes are properly protected, and considers long term as well as short term factors for the pension protection landscape.
