These measure the number of patients admitted, transferred or discharged within four hours of arrival at an accident and emergency department, but do not provide information on average waiting times.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p>Information is available in hospital episode statistics from 2007-08 on average waiting times to assessment, treatment and departure in accident and emergency departments, and is shown in the following tables. A consultation is currently underway to inform decision-making and it will close on 7 August 2014.
