Of these, 3,471 (34%) have been replied to in over 20 days.</p><p>Over the last six months the Department has replied to 21,204 letters from hon. Members. Of these 7,179 (34%) have been replied to in over 20 days.</p><p>Performance has been impacted by a very significant increase in the volume of correspondence received, alongside the need for Ministers and officials to instigate a remote process for drafting and signing correspondence during the period of COVID-19 restrictions. Decisions to investigate and prosecute for proscription offences are a matter for the police and Crown Prosecution Service. Statistics on prosecutions for proscriptions offences are routinely published in the report on the ‘Operation of Police Powers under the Terrorism Act 2000’. The finding and recommendations of that review were published on 24<sup>th</sup> January: <a href="https://www.cityoflondon.gov.uk/about-the-city/Pages/police-authority.aspx" target="_blank">https://www.cityoflondon.gov.uk/about-the-city/Pages/police-authority.aspx</a></p><p>Working with the City of London Corporation, the NCA and Home Office, the City of London Police will address Sir Craig’s recommendations regarding Action Fraud and the NFIB.</p><p>In addition, as part of the 20/21 police funding settlement, City of London Police received additional funding to allow them to recruit additional staff for the Action Fraud call centre. Any request to the UK from another Member State to unite family members under the Dublin Regulation is carefully considered: where someone seeking asylum elsewhere in the EU can demonstrate they have close family members legally in the UK, we will take responsibility for that claim. answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 06/06/2016 answer text <p>Dublin III is the mechanism in place used to determine the Member State deemed to be responsible for hearing an applicant's asylum claim, providing the asylum claim has been lodged in at lease one of Member States. Article 8 of the Dublin regulations deals specifically with asylum claimants who are unaccompanied minor. Asylum claims are not granted under Article 8 of the Dublin III Regulations.</p><p>Home Office records regarding the processing of Dublin III cases are recorded on the Case Information Database (CID), and would include but are not restricted to, name, nationality, date of birth, Member State where the asylum claim was lodged, Dublin Article relevant to the claim, request/decision details and Dublin case outcome details. answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 25/05/2016 answer text <p>Following an application for asylum in the UK, the first stage in the asylum process is the Screening process, which includes collection of fingerprints and bio data, travel history, health, summary of claim, security checks and family background. If at this first stage evidence emerges that an applicant’s asylum application should be more correctly dealt with by another European state in accordance with the Dublin Regulation, then, we would seek to transfer the applicant to the member state responsible for deciding the application.</p><p>It is, however, possible that evidence concerning responsibility of another state emerges after the screening process, in which case a request to another state to take responsibility under the Dublin Regulation can be made, providing that the Regulation’s time limits for making requests are met. This includes information on applications received, decisions made by sex, age and country of nationality.</p><p>The Home Office does not centrally record the number of people that apply for asylum who have a partner in the UK who has already been granted.
