answer text <p>Whilst the Government remains committed to securing a good Brexit deal, it is right that we also plan for a no-deal scenario and we have therefore continued to review our approach to the UK Shared Prosperity Fund (UKSPF) consultation accordingly. The Government recognises the importance of reassuring local areas on the future of local growth funding once we have left the European Union and providing clarity on UKSPF. Therefore we intend to publish the full consultation document shortly.</p> more like this

answer text <p>Cleaning services in buildings managed by the department and its executive agencies are undertaken by outsourced providers, OCS and Sodexo, as part of large facilities management service contracts.</p><p>Cleaning services to the department’s headquarters based in 2 Marsham Street are provided under a contract managed by the Home Office.</p><p>A list of all services delivered by third party contractors to the Department is not held in a centralised location, the information requested could only be obtained at disproportionate cost. Since January 2011, details of central government contracts above the value of £10,000 are published on Contracts Finder. Contracts published prior to 26 February 2015 can be viewed at: <a href="https://www.gov.uk/contracts-finder" target="_blank">https://www.gov.uk/contracts-finder</a>. Those published after 26 February 2015 can be viewed at: <a href="https://www.contractsfinder.service.gov.uk/Search" target="_blank">https://www.contractsfinder.service.gov.uk/Search</a>.</p><p>Rates of pay for people working for third party contractors are determined by their respective employers and not held by the Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government. answer text <p>Since 2010, the Government has helped create over 360 town teams, and given over £18 million to towns - funding successful initiatives such as “Love your Local Market” and the “Great British High Street”.</p><p>This is in addition to funding streams such as the Local Growth Fund, Coastal Revival Fund and Coastal Communities Fund, which have each funded a number of projects in high streets and town centres.</p><p>The Government further demonstrated our commitment to supporting high streets and town centres at Autumn Budget 2018, where we set out “Our Plan for The High Street”. This includes the £675 million Future High Streets Fund, which will help local areas make their high streets and town centres fit for the future.</p> more like this

answer text <p>The Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government does not directly employ (a) cleaners (b) security guards and (c) catering staff.</p><p>Cleaning, security guarding and catering services in buildings managed by the Department are outsourced under facilities management contracts. Suppliers are responsible for setting rates of pay for their staff and rates vary dependent on their age, location and market rates. All suppliers are required to pay, as a minimum, either the National Minimum Wage or the National Living Wage. The rates set by government for the National Minimum Wage and the National Living Wage are to rise in April 2019.</p><p>Cleaning, security guarding and catering services to the Department’s headquarters based in 2 Marsham Street are provided under a contract managed by the Home Office.</p><p> </p><p> </p> more like this

answer text <p>Over the past year we have held external stakeholder engagement events with representatives from a breadth of sectors. We spoke to businesses, public bodies, educational institutions, the voluntary and charity sector and rural partnership groups. Events have taken place in regions across the UK in England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland. These stakeholder events form part of a larger programme of engagement, which includes our public consultation which we intend to publish shortly.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p>To date we have held 22 engagement events which are listed below:</p><p> </p><p>Four events in Belfast</p><p>Bristol</p><p>Four events in Cardiff</p><p>Coventry</p><p>Derry Londonderry</p><p>Dundee</p><p>Two events in Edinburgh</p><p>Gateshead</p><p>Glasgow</p><p>Huddersfield</p><p>London</p><p>Loughborough</p><p>Norwich</p><p>Preston</p><p>Truro<br></p><p>We are also continuing to engage with stakeholders across all four nations including events in St Asaph, Edinburgh and Inverness in the next month.</p>
