The UK Shared Prosperity Fund will strengthen the foundations of productivity as set out in our modern Industrial Strategy to support people to benefit from economic prosperity. This new Fund will ensure that investments are targeted effectively to align with the challenges faced by places, creating a fresh opportunity to focus investment according to our own priorities. We are continuing to work on the design and priorities and we will consult widely on the UK Shared Prosperity Fund. This will give all interested parties the chance to contribute their views to Government. answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 11/04/2019 answer text <p>My Department is not providing specific support for the Palmer Lane project in Coventry.</p><p>However, through the Local Enterprise Partnership (LEP) the Government has invested over £131 million of Local Growth Funding into Coventry and Warwickshire, which is supporting 16 projects across the region. This is forecast to deliver 7,500 new jobs, 3,400 new homes and bring in a total of £240 million of investment. answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 10/04/2019 answer text <p>The revised National Planning Policy Framework (NPPF) reaffirms our commitment to the town centre first approach, to maintain footfall and avoid undermining their vitality. This makes it clear that in the first instance main town centre uses, such as retail, leisure and office should be located in town centres.</p><p>Between February 2009 and February 2019, the share of online retailing as a percentage of all retail sales increased from 5.9 per cent to 17.6 per cent. However, 82.4 per cent of retail is still generated from physical retail.</p><p>We recognise that changing consumer behaviour presents a significant challenge for retailers in our town centres. That is why we set out ‘Our Plan for the High Street’ at Autumn budget, to support the sustainable transformation of high streets.
