We remain committed to securing five extra years of healthy, independent life by 2035 and reducing the gap between rich and poor with proposals set out in the Prevention Green Paper and a Long Term Plan for the National Health Service with a greater focus on prevention. answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 15/07/2019 answer text <p>This Government is committed to preventing mental illness and improving health outcomes for new parents and their children.</p><p>The NHS Long Term Plan commits to improving access to and the quality of perinatal mental health care for mothers, their partners and children with the ambition to increase access to perinatal mental health services to an additional 30,000 women by 2020/21, with a further 24,000 women to be able to access specialist perinatal mental health care by 2023/24.</p><p>From April 2019, new and expectant parents are able to access specialist perinatal mental health community services across England. Specialist care will also be available from preconception to 24 months after birth, which will provide an extra year of support (care is currently provided from preconception to 12 months after birth).</p><p>The potential for a six week post-natal maternal health check for all mothers that includes questions relating to mental health, is the subject of further work by NHS England and NHS Improvement to establish a clearer picture of current practice in the area. answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 09/07/2019 answer text <p>The Prime Minister recently announced that tailored advice will be provided to parents on supporting their children’s mental health and well-being, including information on subjects such as stress, screen time, online bullying, body image and self-harm. This will be developed by Public Health England by 2020. This will accompany advice provided to children and young people through Public Health England’s Rise Above programme on dealing with difficult emotions and situations that can lead to problems such as stress, bullying and self-harm.</p><p> </p><p>We are aware of a rise in young people self-harming, which is why we included a new key area for action to address self-harming in the cross-Government National Suicide Prevention Strategy in 2017. answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 02/07/2019 answer text <p>Veterans are able to receive care through all NHS services and are also able to receive priority treatment for conditions relating to their service. In addition to mainstream services, Veterans can also access specific services such as the Veterans Trauma Network. Veterans are able to access high quality clinically appropriate prosthetic limbs from the National Health Service. Nine NHS prosthetic centres are in place to provide enhanced services for veterans.</p><p>In addition to these services, a new package of support for seriously wounded armed forces personnel was launched on 29 March 2019, the Integrated Personal Commissioning for Veterans Framework (IPC4V). Holiday packages that include cosmetic procedures can trivialise what should be a major decision.</p><p>The Government urges anyone considering a cosmetic or dental procedure abroad to do their research into the standards and qualifications that apply in the country they are travelling to. They should ensure that adequate insurance arrangements are in place and that they have access to appropriate aftercare back in the United Kingdom in the event of any complications.</p><p>NHS.UK publishes guidance for people thinking about travelling abroad for cosmetic surgery, as well as general safety advice and information about individual procedures.
