answer text <p>A panel of independent experts is being convened to review all available data on the possible association between hormonal pregnancy tests, including Primodos, and birth defects. The Government is in the process of obtaining all relevant documents in order that they may be evaluated by the Panel. answer text <p>The National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) is the independent body responsible for providing advice to the National Health Service on the clinical and cost-effectiveness of health technologies. NICE has been asked to appraise a number of pancreatic cancer drugs and commissioners will continue to be legally required to fund treatments recommended by NICE technology appraisal guidance. <br> <br></p><p> </p><p>Decisions on the drugs made available through the Cancer Drugs Fund are a matter for NHS England’s Cancer Drugs Fund panel. The standard operating procedures for the Fund, which outline the decision-making process the panel follows is available at:</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p><a href="http://www.england.nhs.uk/ourwork/pe/cdf/" target="_blank">www.england.nhs.uk/ourwork/pe/cdf/</a></p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p>We are committed to maintaining the Cancer Drugs Fund until the end of March 2016.
