The Government is in the process of obtaining all relevant documents in order that they may be evaluated by the Panel. answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 08/12/2014 answer text <p>The National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) is the independent body responsible for providing advice to the National Health Service on the clinical and cost-effectiveness of health technologies. NICE has been asked to appraise a number of pancreatic cancer drugs and commissioners will continue to be legally required to fund treatments recommended by NICE technology appraisal guidance. <br> <br></p><p> </p><p>Decisions on the drugs made available through the Cancer Drugs Fund are a matter for NHS England’s Cancer Drugs Fund panel. The standard operating procedures for the Fund, which outline the decision-making process the panel follows is available at:</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p><a href="http://www.england.nhs.uk/ourwork/pe/cdf/" target="_blank">www.england.nhs.uk/ourwork/pe/cdf/</a></p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p>We are committed to maintaining the Cancer Drugs Fund until the end of March 2016.
