answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 06/03/2015 answer text <p>This is a historic partnership between local organisations in Greater Manchester (GM), with general practitioners as clinical leaders working with elected leaders to improve services for people living in the area.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p>The National Health Service bodies involved, including NHS England and the relevant clinical commissioning groups, will remain statutorily accountable for the exercise of their functions. answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 10/03/2015 answer text <p>The Government is clear that the Transatlantic Trade and Investment Partnership (TTIP) will not affect the way the National Health Service takes decisions about who best should provide NHS services.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p>This position has been confirmed by both the United States and European Union negotiators. answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 10/03/2015 answer text <p>As part of the Challenge on Dementia 2020, the Government made a commitment to maintain our current spend on dementia research of over £60 million a year. We have already doubled research spending from a baseline of £28.2 million in 2009/10.</p><p> </p><p>Some of the £300 million investment represents continuing expenditure on existing infrastructure, projects and research training. The remainder represents anticipated expenditure arising from successful funding applications. The National Institute for Health Research and the Medical Research Council both welcome funding applications for research into any aspect of human health, including dementia. These applications are subject to peer review and judged in open competition.
