answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 07/09/2016 answer text <p>For DWP purposes a statement of fitness for work (SOFFW) can be obtained from a GP at no cost to the claimant.</p><p> </p><p>DWP does not refund postage or other costs associated with obtaining a SOFFW. Claimants are notified when making a claim that there is a requirement to supply a SOFFW to meet the ESA entitlement conditions. To support this DWP provides options for postage, either a Freepost Licence code or a pre-paid envelope at no cost to the claimant. This will put over £900 more a year in the pockets of full-time workers compared to the current National Minimum Wage.</p><p> </p><p>The Department ensures that all direct employees are paid at least the mandatory National Living Wage set by the Government, regardless of age. Similarly all agency staff and those on outsourced contracts are paid at least this rate.
