Direct comparisons of the GMPP across years should therefore be treated with caution. Projects join and leave the GMPP throughout the year and it is therefore likely that a simple comparison across two time points will refer to different sets of projects.</p><p> </p><p>At the end of June 2016 (i.e. the end of the Quarter 1 reporting period for 2016-17), 561.67 officials in the Department and its arm’s length bodies were working on GMPP projects.</p><p> </p><p>GMPP data for December 2018 (Q3 2018/19) has not yet been cleared and finalised. answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 30/01/2019 answer text <p>Public Health England (PHE) is working in partnership with the Department for Education as part of the Social Mobility Action Plan for Education, ‘Unlocking Talent, Fulfilling Potential’ to improve early language acquisition and reduce the word gap.</p><p> </p><p>As part of this programme PHE will deliver training for health visitors on speech, language and communication needs. In addition, an early language assessment tool to support clinical decision making and improve early identification of children with speech and language delay at the two year universal health review is in development and will be available in spring 2020.</p><p> </p><p>A model speech language and communication pathway for services for children aged zero to five built on the best evidence and experience of implementation in practice will be available by June 2019.
