answer text <p><strong>Goods exported directly from Great Britain (GB) to the European Union (EU), including goods exported to Ireland, are subject to customs formalities. This means goods must be presented and declared to customs, they must not be exported without the permission of HMRC and a message must be sent after their departure to confirm the goods have left GB.
