answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 06/06/2019 answer text <p>Disaggregated information on the apprenticeship levy that is collected in each constituency, local authority or region of the UK by Her Majesty’s Revenue and Customs (HMRC) is not available. Many larger levy-paying employers are headquartered in one region but they employ staff across the country. Therefore, levy data is reported to HMRC by PAYE scheme rather than by organisation, which means that we cannot attribute the levy collected and spent to individual locations. Individual employers can control where apprenticeship funds are spent in order to meet their current and future skills needs.</p><p> </p><p>Since May 2015, there have been 4,690 apprenticeship starts in the Ashfield constituency, 39,650 starts in Nottinghamshire (including in the city of Nottingham) and over 1.7 million starts in England as a whole, reported to date. 49.4% of apprenticeship starts in England were supported by the levy in the first half of 2018/19, which is the most recent period for which data are available.</p><p> </p><p>Income from the levy in England is used to fund apprenticeships for all employers, including apprenticeships started before the introduction of the levy as well as apprenticeships started since the introduction of the levy. answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 05/06/2019 answer text <p>Students are at the heart of the new education administration regime: its primary objective is to avoid or minimise disruption to the studies of existing students.</p><p> </p><p>During the education administration, Hadlow College will continue to operate as usual and communications with students and staff have been a priority. The administrators have led communications with staff, including briefing sessions, a letter to all staff and a meeting with the University and College Union.</p><p> </p><p>We understand from administrators that there are no student representatives other than the student governors. Therefore, in discussion with college management, the administrators have decided to communicate to students mostly through teachers as it was felt that this approach was least disruptive. College staff have been actively encouraged to update and answer questions from their students. The college also wrote to existing students, parents and guardians and prospective students to assure them that classes, exams and enrolments are continuing as normal. Students have been encouraged to submit queries either directly to the college communications team or via their teachers.</p><p> </p><p>Earlier this year, we established a panel of insolvency practitioners to work on further education (FE) insolvencies, following a procurement process which, among other things, looked at FE sector experience. The firm appointed for Hadlow College’s insolvency is BDO, which has experience of the FE sector.
