That is why we are investing over £9 billion in our Affordable Homes Programme 2016-21 to deliver a wide range of affordable housing, including social rent homes, by March 2021.

The Programme is flexible and sets no ring fences on particular forms of tenure. The precise number of homes and where they are built will depend on the bids that are received. This allows providers to have the flexibility and agility to respond to local needs and markets – building the right homes in the right places.

more like this
