answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 22/02/2019 answer text <p>Prior to any decisions on establishing new UK-level bodies, the Government will always look to minimise disruption and costs, which will include considering alternative options. In most cases we anticipate that repatriated EU functions can be absorbed by UK departments and existing public bodies.</p><p>The Government has previously announced three new agencies; the Trade Remedies Authority; an independent and statutory body holding government to account for the environment; and an independent authority for monitoring the implementation and application of the citizens' rights provisions of the withdrawal agreement. We have been clear that we will make an appropriate financial contribution, dependent on the level of participation. answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 13/03/2018 answer text <p>As the Prime Minister said in her speech in Mansion House on 2 March 2018, we will want to explore with the EU the terms on which we could remain part of EU agencies such as those that are critical for the chemicals, medicines and aerospace industries: the European Medicines Agency (EMA), the European Chemicals Agency (ECHA), and the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA).</p><p><strong> </strong></p><p>There are other agencies, such as those related to our future security partnership, that the UK may seek to remain a part of. Where there is a demonstrable national interest in pursuing a continued relationship with an agency or other EU body the Government will carefully examine whether we should pursue this. Now that the Commission has a clear negotiating mandate, we hope to move quickly to begin detailed discussions on the implementation period.</p><p>The exact nature of our involvement in the EU institutions, agencies and bodies during the implementation period remains a matter for discussion.</p><p>However, during the implementation period, we are agreed that EU rules and regulations will continue to apply.
