answer text <p>Reports of all Port State Control inspections are published on the Paris Memorandum of Understanding website, parismou.org, in the inspection database. Individual reports are published once an inspection is complete and in the case of a detention, after the vessel has been released.</p><p>Reports for individual vessels can be found by searching on its name and with a date range.</p> more like this

answer text <p>The Maritime and Coastguard Agency (MCA) has conducted the following number of Port State Control inspections since 1 January 2019 on the P&amp;O ferries: Pride of Canterbury – one; Pride of Kent – two; Pride of Hull – two; Spirit of Britain – two; Spirit of France – one; Norbay – none; European Causeway – eight; and European Highlander – five.</p><p>There have not been any Port State Control inspections on the Norbay as it is registered in Bermuda which is part of the Red Ensign Group which includes the UK; the UK is considered the Flag State.</p><p>The second inspection on the Pride of Kent included four visits by MCA inspectors between 28 March and 9 May 2022.</p> more like this

answer text <p>The Merchant Shipping (Maritime Labour Convention) (Recruitment and Placement) Regulations 2014 are only applicable to recruitment services operating out of UK.</p><p>The responsibility of verifying compliance with Maritime Labour Convention (MLC) for International Ferry Management lies with Malta, where the company is based.</p><p>During the Maritime and Coastguard Agency’s Port State Control inspections of the P&amp;O ferries, their inspectors were presented with a Certificate of Compliance issued by RINA on behalf of the Maltese administration that demonstrated compliance with the requirements of the MLC.</p><p><strong> </strong></p> more like this

answer text <p>We are actively working with departments and agencies across Government to identify all aircraft and vessels, including leisure craft, that fall within the scope of the sanctions Regulations. To date, three aircraft have been detained, and two remain under a restriction of flying order pending investigation. At least 28 ships have been frustrated by the maritime sanctions, and one superyacht has been detained.</p> more like this

answer text <p>P&amp;O Ferries customers are fully protected when a sailing is cancelled by regulation EU1177/2010 that has been adopted into UK law under the EU Exit Regulations of 2019. Refunds must be made within seven days. The Maritime and Coastguard Agency (MCA) enforce these regulations within the UK. Other operators continue to sail across Channel routes, so passengers and goods are flowing.</p><p>The MCA surveyors continue to carry out port state control inspections on P&amp;O Ferries vessels prior to them commencing passenger services. This is to ensure crew safety and training, and that all vessels’ safety requirements are met.</p> more like this
