We agreed to the first new nuclear power station in a generation at Hinkley Point C, which will provide 3.2 gigawatts of secure, low carbon electricity for at least 60 years and power nearly 6 million homes. We also procured over 3GW of offshore wind in a single Contract for Difference auction in our 2017 auction – at a price of £57.50 per megawatt hour.
more like this

answer text
In 2016 we announced an improved offer making available £4.5m to 2020 to Local Authorities wishing to install recharging infrastructure in residential areas for drivers of electric cars that lack offstreet parking through our On-street Residential Chargepoint Scheme. 28 Local Authorities have applied to the scheme to date including Coventry City Council who have been awarded £300,000 to install 90 chargepoints. Additionally, as part of OLEV’s £20m Taxi Infrastructure Competition, Coventry, Wolverhampton and Birmingham were between them awarded over £4.5m in 2017 to help deliver charging infrastructure dedicated to ultra-low emission taxis. The Midlands was one of the eight ‘Plugged-in Places’ projects and received over £2.5m from the Office for Low Emission Vehicles. Between December 2010 and 2013, the project helped develop a regional network of more than 850 electric vehicle Charging Points across both the East and West Midlands. The total funding amount awarded across the East and West Midlands for these schemes is £7.3 million.

answer text
Bullying and harassment has no place in any workplace, including the Civil Service.

In our most recent People Survey, 11% of respondents, on average, told us that they'd experienced bullying or harassment at work in the 12 months preceding the survey.

Whilst this figure has remained stable since 2016, we recognise that certain groups of staff are more like to say they have experienced this type of unacceptable behaviour than others. This includes staff members with long-term limiting conditions who, in the vast majority of departments and agencies, were more likely to say they'd been bullied or harassed in the last 12 months than staff members with no long-term limiting conditions.

We are strengthening the routes for staff to report bullying and harassment to ensure that all staff are fully supported throughout the process, and to ensure cultures are positive and inclusive.

The high level People Survey results for each organisation, including reported rates of bullying and harassment, were published last December on gov.uk.

Each Spring, the Cabinet Office conducts and publishes a range of further analysis on the People Survey responses, including the results by gender, ethnicity, sexual orientation and health status. Similar analysis will be conducted again this year and made available on gov.uk.

The results for the 2017 survey are summarised below.
