It was announced in October 2014 by the Deputy Prime Minister to bring together digital technology expertise across Manchester, Leeds, Sheffield, Liverpool, Hull and the North East tech cluster (Newcastle, Sunderland and the Tees Valley). It will form part of Tech City UK.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p>Since TechNorth’s announcement, Tech City UK has been engaging with the North's diverse technology sector to shape the scope of the initiatives TechNorth will offer. question text	To ask the Secretary of State for Business, Innovation and Skills, what progress has been made by his Department in 2014 on implementing and maintaining the Government Digital Services training programme.

answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 16/10/2014 answer text <p>Government Digital Services provide different strands of training, resources and support to help Government create and run digital services effectively.
