<p>We remain focused on ensuring our smooth and orderly withdrawal from the EU with
a deal as soon as possible. However, as a responsible Government we have been preparing
to minimise any disruption in the event of a no-deal.</p><p>I regularly meet with
the Farmers’ Union of Wales, NFU Cymru and the CLA Cymru to discuss EU Exit and the
impact on the agriculture sector.</p><p>We have made it clear that we will support
vulnerable sectors, such as our sheep farmers, through government intervention in
the event of a ‘no-deal’, should this be necessary. We will be monitoring the sectors
which may be exposed to short-term difficulties as a result of EU Exit closely to
identify early signs of market disturbance allowing us to react swiftly.</p><p> </p>
