answer text <p>At Autumn Statement, we introduced a new offer of income contingent loans for postgraduate taught Masters courses. For the first time, anyone under age 30 who is eligible and accepted to study a Masters in any subject, will be able to access a loan of up to £10,000.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p>In addition, to support students until these loans are in place, we have announced £50 million in 2015/16, matched funded by institutions, to make available 10,000 bursaries of £10,000.</p><p> </p> more like this

answer text <p>Policy for further and higher education is a devolved matter and the Department for Business, Innovation and Skills (BIS) is responsible for England. Institutions of Further and Higher Education are autonomous independent organisations and as such, they are themselves responsible for their policies and procedures and the management of their operations. The Government encourages the sector to take student welfare seriously, including the welfare of international students.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p>Officials in BIS regularly meet with Home Office officials and education sector representatives to discuss a range of issues affecting international students. Both my R thon Friend the Secretary of State for BIS and I also regularly meet with bodies who represent or are otherwise concerned with international students.</p><p> </p> more like this

answer text <p>The Secretary of State for Business, Innovation and Skills (BIS) received a letter from the National Union of Students dated 15 July 2014 which asked BIS to lead in ensuring the creation of a scheme to protect legitimate international students.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p>As part of his visit to Australia in February 2014, my predecessor the Rt. hon Friend the Member for Havant (David Willetts) was keen to learn more about their Tuition Protection Scheme and officials also liaised with Tuition Protection Scheme officials in Australia to understand the design and management of this scheme.</p><p> </p> more like this

answer text <p>This Government has devolved more powers and responsibilities to cities and local government than any other Government in a generation. After two successful rounds of City Deals, the Government introduced Growth Deals to ensure that everywhere in England had the opportunity to negotiate for funding and the freedoms and flexibilities needed to drive their local economies.</p><p> </p><p>So far, £7bn has been awarded to Local Enterprise Partnerships through Growth Deals. £77.5m has been awarded to Gloucestershire, including £4.1m for the regeneration of Blackfriars in Gloucester, £4.7m for the Gloucester King’s Quarter Bus Station and £2m for Gloucester South West Bypass.</p> more like this

answer text <p>In 2014, we announced 39 Growth Deals as the first phase of a £12 billion boost to local economies. On 29 January 2015, we announced an expansion to these successful Growth Deals of a further £1 billion.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p>For Oxfordshire this will see an extra £9.9m invested between 2016 and 2021.
