However, we can confirm that in 2017/18 NHS England had a contract with Northumberland Tyne and Wear NHS Foundation Trust to provide the Veteran Mental Health Transition, Intervention and Liaison Service (TILS) in the North region, which includes South Yorkshire. answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 23/07/2018 answer text <p>The Government recognises that early intervention is absolutely vital and is committed to ensuring everyone with an eating disorder has access to timely treatment.</p><p> </p><p>For children and young people, the Government set up the first waiting times to improve access to eating disorders services for children and young people - so that by 2020/21 95% of children with an eating disorder will receive treatment within one week for urgent cases and within four weeks for routine cases. Latest figures indicate that the National Health Service is on track to meet that standard with almost 78.9% of all patients starting urgent treatment within one week and 79.9% of patients starting routine treatment within four weeks (Quarter 4 2017-2018).</p><p> </p><p>Source: <a href="https://www.england.nhs.uk/statistics/statistical-work-areas/cyped-waiting-times/" target="_blank">https://www.england.nhs.uk/statistics/statistical-work-areas/cyped-waiting-times/</a></p><p> </p><p>The Government announced in 2014 that it would invest £150 million to expand eating disorder community-based care and as a result 70 dedicated new or extended community services are now either open or in development. However this information is not broken down to show information on expenditure for Tier 1 and Tier 2 Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS). Budgets and contracts for services are decided and commissioned locally by clinical commissioning groups (CCGs) which assess local needs. Furthermore, NHS England does not determine allocations or contracts for local authorities. Again, these are decided and commissioned locally by CCGs in response to local need.</p><p> </p><p>Under the Mental Health Investment Standard (MHIS), all CCGs are required to increase mental health expenditure in line with their overall allocation. answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 18/06/2018 answer text <p>This Government is committed to improving perinatal mental health services for women during pregnancy and in the first postnatal year, so that women are able to access the right care at the right time and close to home.</p><p> </p><p>The Department is investing £365 million by 2020/21 in perinatal mental health services. This investment will ensure that by 2020/21 at least 30,000 more women each year will be able to access evidence-based specialist mental health care during the perinatal period. The Department’s aim is to take action to promote and support people to have healthier lifestyles and to tackle differences in access to, and outcomes from, our health and public health services.</p><p> </p><p>Our commitment and approach to tackling health inequalities – and social injustice – is underpinned by the legal duty enshrined in the 2012 Health and Social Care Act, which is to work to reduce inequalities.</p><p> </p><p>We have introduced transparent high level measures to reduce health inequalities in the Public Health Outcomes Framework and NHS Outcomes Framework. In March 2015, we published an additional list of selected NHS Outcomes Framework indicators for which health inequalities data has been made available. We have also recently published the NHS Mandate for 2018/19 and the Public Health England (PHE) Remit letter for 2018/19 which clearly set out those organisations’ responsibilities and work on reducing inequalities in health.</p><p> </p><p>Tackling health inequalities is a core part of PHE’s Strategic Vision for 2020. Statistics, evidence and tools are being developed to support action by local authorities and the wider public health system to take effective action on health equity.</p><p> </p><p>There is more to do to systematically address inequalities and NHS England aims to improve and measure the impact of their programmes and also better support local commissioners and providers in their work. The NHS England Board discussed health inequalities and life expectancy at a meeting in March 2018, and plans are being developed to take work forward. The delivery of services within schools is for local determination and commissioning for the service is led by local authorities. Some schools will choose to commission additional school nursing capacity to meet specific identified public health needs.
