<p>NHS Digital holds information on people in contact with secondary care mental health
services who have a recorded diagnosis of attention deficit hyperactivity disorder
(ADHD) or hyperactivity. However, as these statistics do not include people diagnosed
with these conditions who are only in contact with primary care services, such as
their general practitioner, these are an undercount of the total number of people
