answer text <p>The Department does not directly provide post-abortion support. The Secretary of State for Health approves independent sector providers to perform abortions and all providers must agree to comply with the Department’s Required Standard Operating Procedures (RSOPs). The RSOPs require all providers to have protocols in place covering the support that should be in place for women following an abortion procedure, including post-abortion counselling for those women who require it.</p><p> </p><p>Arrangements for post-abortion support in National Health Service hospitals is a matter for local policy.</p> more like this

answer text <p>As part of the discretionary support arrangements being put in place under the England Infected Blood Support Scheme (EIBSS), being run by NHS Business Services Authority, any beneficiary who is not entitled to receive free prescriptions will be able to apply for a pre-payment certificate which will be paid for by the EIBSS; this provision will not be means tested. These arrangements continue the pre-existing support provided by the former payments schemes.</p> more like this

answer text <p>The National Health Service has robust measures in place to protect against cyberattacks, and since May we have taken further action to strengthen resilience and guard against future attack, including new, unannounced cyber security inspections by the Care Quality Commission, £21 million in funding to improve resilience in trauma centres, and enhanced guidance for trusts.</p><p> </p><p>Work is underway to determine the fastest and most cost effective way to move the NHS off unsupported operating systems, and we are working with the NHS to ensure unsupported systems are urgently upgraded, removed or isolated. The Department has also signed a Customer Support Agreement with Microsoft that will issue regular patches and updates for all existing Windows devices operating with Windows XP, Windows Server 2003, and SQL 2005.</p> more like this

answer text <p>The Department is working with the National Cyber Security Centre, NHS England NHS Digital and NHS Improvement to prepare and rehearse incident response plans and take action to strengthen communications when core computer systems are affected by cyber security incidents.</p><p>A number of changes have been made that aim to make sure that the National Health Service and its systems are as resilient as possible, protecting patient data, ensuring safe patient care, and reducing the impact of cyber-attacks when they next occur.</p><p>To improve resilience in hospitals, £21 million of funding has been allocated to addressing key infrastructure vulnerabilities in major trauma centres and ambulance trusts to reduce the impact on patient access in the event of future cyber-attacks.</p> more like this

answer text <p>Significant progress has been made on data for mental health services, including the publication of the Five Year Forward View for Mental Health (FYFV MH) Dashboard and improvements to the Mental Health Services Dataset (MHSDS)</p><p> </p><p>The Department is working with NHS England, NHS Digital and Public Health England to develop a five year plan that will set out next steps for substantially improving data across mental health services.</p><p> </p><p>NHS England has been working with NHS Digital to ensure changes are made to the MHSDS and the Improving Access to Psychological Therapies dataset to capture information on key FYFV MH priorities.</p><p> </p><p>Where existing national datasets have not been able to capture data on certain priority areas, bespoke collections have been implemented. This includes Out of Area Placements, Early Intervention in Psychosis and Children and Young People with Eating Disorders.</p><p> </p><p>NHS England is also leading data quality improvement work with NHS Digital, NHS Improvement, Public Health England and the Care Quality Commission across specialised and clinical commissioning group commissioned mental health services. The aim of this work is to ensure that the coverage and quality of national data is sufficient to report on all FYFV MH priorities.</p><p> </p><p><strong> </strong></p>
