The 2018 Government Review – Strengthening Local Enterprise Partnerships – set out what LEPs should themselves do to improve the diversity of their Chairs and board members, in terms of protected characteristics, gender and also in drawing from a more diverse representation of sectors. The RPC has only published an assessment without a rating once (for the European Union (Withdrawal Agreement) Bill). This includes paying over £300m compensation to the steel sector since 2013.</p><p> </p><p>We have a number of funds available, or in development, that will help energy intensive industries, including steel, to increase energy efficiency and transition to a low carbon future.
