answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 29/03/2021 answer text <p>On 18 March 2021, the Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency, the United Kingdom regulator responsible for investigating medicines safety concerns, issued a statement setting out that the available evidence did not suggest that blood clots in veins are caused by the Oxford/AstraZeneca COVID-19 vaccine. This followed a rigorous scientific review of all the available data, including a detailed review of report cases as well as data from hospital admissions and general practitioner records. Any vaccines that are made available will have been authorised because they pass the MHRA’s tests on safety and efficacy.
