answer text <p>The Government has helped steel companies to reduce their costs through resource and energy efficiency, including through a package of compensation and exemptions from electricity costs, and has provided more than £560 million in support to the UK steel industry since 2013.</p><p> </p><p>In addition, we have established an Industrial Energy Transformation Fund, backed by up to £315 million of investment. This Fund will help businesses, including steel companies, with high energy use in order to cut their bills and transition the UK’s industry to a low carbon future.</p> more like this

answer text <p>My Rt. Hon. Friend the Prime Minister published his Ten Point Plan for a Green Industrial Revolution on 18<sup>th</sup> November, in which he affirmed the Government’s objective to advance nuclear as a clean energy source. This includes large scale nuclear and developing the next generation of small and advanced reactors. The Ten Point Plan highlights the key role of nuclear in delivering deep decarbonisation of our electricity system alongside renewables and other technologies. One of the key targets is the publication of the Energy White Paper, in which further information will be provided.</p> more like this
