answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 16/11/2020 answer text <p>Ministers and officials regularly engage with energy companies on a range of issues relating to the impact of Covid-19 on energy businesses and their customers.</p><p> </p><p>The Department secured an agreement with energy companies on 19th March 2020 to support their customers impacted by Covid-19, that, based on the circumstances could include reassessing, reducing or pausing debt repayments for households in financial distress. Two cabinet committees have been established, chaired by my Rt. Hon. Friends the Prime Minister and the Secretary of State for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy. These Committees are turbo-charging the net zero transition and co-ordinating action across government.</p><p> </p><p>In 2019 we published our Clean Maritime Plan, the UK’s pathway to zero emissions shipping. It identifies ways to tackle air pollutants and greenhouse gas emissions while securing growth and placing the UK at the forefront of the global transition to clean shipping. Implementation of the plan is underway. More information can be found on the Green Homes Grant <a href="https://green-homes-grant.service.gov.uk/contact" target="_blank">Contact Us</a> page, with a phone lines for scheme application (0300 131 0053) open from 8am to 8pm Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm Saturday and Sunday. Furthermore, the <a href="https://www.simpleenergyadvice.org.uk/" target="_blank">Simple Energy Advice</a> (SEA) website, used to find accredited installers for measures under the scheme, also offers a non-digital route for elderly and vulnerable homeowners to search for suitable installers. Homeowners can contact 0800 444 202 between 8am to 8pm Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm Saturday and Sunday.</p><p> </p><p>Outside of the voucher scheme, support is available to vulnerable and elderly households on low incomes via the £500m Local Authority Delivery (LAD) element. We are aware of the relatively low numbers registered and are working closely with the industry to help more businesses obtain the relevant certifications.</p><p> </p><p>As set out in out the Green Homes Grant scheme <a href="https://www.gov.uk/guidance/apply-for-the-green-homes-grant-scheme" target="_blank">guidance</a>, although customers are advised to obtain three quotes, only one is required for application to the scheme.</p><p> </p><p>The Green Homes Grant scheme will be time-limited, to help stimulate the economic recovery and support and create tens of thousands of green jobs.
