answer text <p>The Ministry of Defence will continue to fund the Defence Serious Crime Command’s Victim Witness Care Unit (VWCU) from April 2024.</p><p> </p><p>The VWCU provides a single point of contact to victims and witnesses of serious crimes committed by persons subject to Service law in the UK and overseas. The VWCU is independent of the Chain of Command and provides holistic care and support to victims and witnesses, ensuring that each victim is afforded their rights in accordance with the code of practice for victims of crime.</p> more like this

answer text <p>The attached supporting table details the number of personnel of each rank for the three services of the Armed Forces as at 1 January 2023 which is the latest date for which the information is available.</p><p>Service personnel statistics are produced quarterly, using data at points 1 January, 1 April, 1 July and 1 October. The quarterly statistics are available at the following link.</p><p>https://www.gov.uk/government/collections/quarterly-service-personnel-statistics-index</p><p>It should be noted that the rank information is updated annually as at 1 April. The next publication will be released on 22 June will contain the information as at 1 April 2023.</p> more like this

answer text <p>Joint Service Publication 950 Leaflet 6-7-7 (JSP 950 Lft 6-7-7) provides a framework for the medical assessment of potential recruits and Serving personnel. I attach a copy.</p><p>Fitness to serve may be dependent on several medical conditions. An individual's final grading is determined by using the extensive content in JSP 950 Lft 6-7-7 combined with the judgement of occupational medicine specialists.</p> more like this

answer text <p>As stated in the answer to Question 103013, all of the medical employment standards for the Armed Forces, including those relating to Huntington's Disease, are kept under periodic review, taking into account academic reviews of the field, subject matter expert consultation and consensus.</p><p>The evidence in policy correlates with national guidelines and there are currently no plans to change existing policy on Huntington's Disease.</p> more like this
