We are funding several interventions in this area. A-levels mathematics students are likely to earn on average 11 per cent more on their salary by the time they are 34, than students who choose not to study maths. Investing in the quality and integration of mental health services will reduce pressure on the NHS and other public services. As announced at Autumn Budget 2018, funding for mental health services will grow as a share of the overall NHS budget over the next five years.
