answer text <p>The UK Government is making additional funding available so that departments and the devolved administrations can prepare effectively for EU Exit. More than £4.2 billion has been provided since 2016, including over £2 billion for core Brexit activity in 2019-20 for deal and no deal preparations.</p><p> </p><p>The 2019-20 allocations were announced in a Written Ministerial Statement on 18 December 2018. The devolved administrations received their full share of additional funding in devolved areas through the Barnett Formula, with the Welsh Government allocated £31.1m. This follows Barnett-based allocations to the Welsh Government of £3.7m in 2017-18 and £21.4m in 2018-19.</p><p> </p><p>It is for departments and devolved administrations to decide where to allocate EU Exit funding across reserved and devolved responsibilities respectively.</p> more like this

Given that skills policy is devolved, devolved administrations will receive a population share of the UK-wide revenue from the levy. answer text <p>The UK government provides the Welsh Government with a population share of the Office for Budget Responsibility’s (OBR’s) apprenticeship levy forecast from March 2016. This means the Welsh Government will receive £128m in 2017-18, £133m in 2018-19, and £138m in 2019-20. Beyond 2019-20, once the levy is embedded, the normal operation of the Barnett Formula will continue to provide a population-based share of funding.</p><p> </p> more like this

HMRC have information on where PAYE schemes are registered, though not on the workplaces of the employer. We are investing £1.3bn to build up to 10,000 new prison places with better education facilities and other rehabilitative services. On 22 March 2017, my Rt Hon friend, the Lord Chancellor and Secretary of State for Justice announced plans for the building of four new prisons in England and Wales, replacing old and overcrowded establishments with new, fit for purpose buildings.</p><p> </p><p>As well as creating modern establishments fit for the twenty-first century, the proposed new builds will act as a boost to regional economies across the country – creating up to two thousand jobs in the construction and manufacturing industries and new opportunities for local businesses.</p><p> </p><p>The plans include a new prison in Port Talbot in South Wales. The Ministry of Justice intends to apply for planning permission soon.</p><p> </p><p>At this stage it is too early to give an estimate of the cost of designing and building the new prison but we will seek to ensure value for money for taxpayers. With regard to funding arrangements for health and police services, we will engage with relevant public sector partners to ensure they are able to develop suitable plans for the new prison.</p>
