<p>As of 6 September 2017, 115,198 parents had successfully applied through the childcare
service for 30 hours free childcare; over 25,404 parents had successfully applied
for tax-free childcare; and 100,113 parents had successfully applied for both 30 hours
free childcare and Tax-Free Childcare.</p><p> </p><p>As Minister of State at the Department
for Education, Robert Goodwill, told the House on 6 September 2017, as of 31 August
216,384 eligibility codes had been issued for 3 year olds that were valid for the
September term.</p>
