<p>The government has listened to concerns from teachers, pupils, students and parents
about how the costs of period products can impact on education.</p><p> </p><p>No-one
should be held back from reaching their potential, which is why at Spring Statement
the Chancellor announced a scheme to provide access to free sanitary products in secondary
schools and colleges in England, and that this will be fully funded by the government.</p><p>
</p><p>On 16 April, the Department for Education announced that this funding will
be extended to cover primary schools.</p>
