answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 08/05/2024 answer text <p>The Government’s vision, set out in The Best Start for Life: A Vision for the 1,001 Critical Days, is that every parent and carer has access to high quality infant feeding services in their local area.</p><p>Through the Family Hubs and Start for Life Programme, we are investing £50 million into infant feeding services. This is enabling participating local authorities, including Haringey, to design and deliver a blended offer to ensure all mothers can meet their breastfeeding goals. The investment is being used to increase the range of advice and support available, including peer support. Local authorities are working with the voluntary sector to deliver services.</p><p>We are also using programme investment to increase the capacity of the National Breastfeeding Helpline, managed by the Breastfeeding Network. answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 25/04/2024 answer text <p>In 2022/23, 954 dentists in the North Central London Integrated Care Board performed some National Health Service work, the equivalent to 62.5 dentists per 100,000 people. This is higher than the figure in 2021/22, when 891 dentists performed some NHS work, the equivalent to 58.4 dentists per 100,000 people.</p><p> </p><p>Our plan to recover and reform NHS dentistry will make dental services faster, simpler, and fairer for patients, and will fund approximately 2.5 million additional appointments. The plan sets out a number of actions which will improve access for patients, by helping the sector to recover activity more quickly, addressing underlying issues, and setting out the action needed for longer term reform of the system.</p><p> </p><p>A new patient premium will support dentists in taking on new patients, and a new marketing campaign will help people locate an NHS dentist as needed. New dental vans will bring dental care to our most isolated communities, and Golden Hello incentives will encourage dentists into under-served areas. answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 20/12/2023 answer text <p>We are working with NHS England to increase the general practitioner (GP) workforce in England. This includes measures to boost recruitment, address the reasons why doctors leave the profession, and encourage them to return to practice.</p><p>We have increased the number of GP training places, and last year saw 4,032 trainee doctors accept a place on GP training, up from 2,671 in 2014. Under the NHS Long Term Workforce Plan, the number of training places will rise to 6,000 by 2031/32, with the first 500 new places available from September 2025.</p><p>The North Central London Training Hub administers local delivery of the NHS England General Practice Fellowship programme, which aims to support recruitment of newly qualified GPs into local general practices, including Hornsey Wood Green. The training hub also works with health and care partners locally to create portfolio roles to attract newly qualified GPs to take up salaried roles. answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 19/12/2023 answer text <p>The Major Conditions Strategy will focus on tackling the six major conditions groups – cancers, mental ill-health, cardiovascular disease (including stroke and diabetes), dementia, chronic respiratory diseases, and musculoskeletal disorders – that account for around 60% of ill-health and early death in England.</p><p>General practices are self-employed contractors to the National Health Service and it is largely up to employers to determine how best to staff their Primary Care Networks or GPs to best meet the needs of their population.
