All eligible annual revenue claims for 2015 to 2017 have received a payment, with the exception of those held for legal reasons such as probate. Payments for 2018 are underway. There is no regulatory deadline for Countryside Stewardship 2018 revenue payments; we advise most claimants to expect a payment within 12 months. 95% of claims will receive an advance payment by April 2019. The Countryside Stewardship application window normally runs between February and May for High Tier and between February and July for Mid-Tier. answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 01/04/2019 answer text <p>This is a devolved matter and the below information relates to England only.</p><p> </p><p>There is already in place a systematic approach for the safe management of agricultural animal waste. Slurry and manure produced by farm animals and the associated controls are managed through zone designations and compliance regulations. The specific approach depends upon whether a farm falls within a Nitrate Vulnerable Zone (NVZ), which cover 55% of England, or outside an NVZ, in which case pollution control regulation applies.</p><p> </p><p>Under NVZ rules operators are required to store their manures and slurries for up to 5 or 6 months depending on farm type, keep records and only spread manures and slurries at certain times of the year, whilst keeping the application rates within nutrient limits. Under current pollution control regulation, stores must be constructed to a required standard, meet necessary construction requirements and have a minimum capacity of 4 months’ storage. answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 28/03/2019 answer text <p>China is a priority market for UK food and drink exports and Defra has been working closely with the UK poultry industry and the Department for International Trade, including with colleagues in Beijing, to identify and develop trade opportunities in the poultry sector.</p><p> </p><p>We are currently unable to export poultry to China due to a ban which China imposed following outbreaks of Highly Pathogenic Avian Influenza (HPAI) that occurred in the UK in poultry from 2014-2017. We have achieved a number of positive steps towards lifting the ban, including the UK being recognised as officially free from HPAI by the World Organisation for Animal Health (the OIE) since September 2017. The UK also successfully hosted a Chinese inspection visit of Avian Influenza controls in the UK during September 2018.</p><p> </p><p>Whilst the ban remains in place, the Chinese inspection report was positive with regards to the strength of our HPAI controls. We will continue to work across Government and with industry to enable the ban to be lifted.</p><p> </p><p>Once the ban is lifted, we can progress to resuming live exports of poultry, which was an open export market prior to the implementation of the ban.</p><p> </p><p>Following re-opening of pre-existing trade, we can then undertake the longer process of opening a brand new market for the poultry sector, namely poultry meat exports. The UK will maintain its high standards as part of any future free trade agreements.</p><p> </p><p>The Withdrawal Act transfers onto the UK statute book all EU food safety and animal welfare standards including the ban on production and importation of chlorinated chicken.
