EASA published operational guidance for the aviation sector on 20 May. It aims to support airports and airlines to put in place health measures to mitigate the transmission of COVID-19 during air travel for passengers and staff as far as possible, such as through enhanced hygiene practices and social distancing in airports where possible. However, it recognises that the risk of transmission cannot be fully eliminated.
