<p>The Department for Culture, Media and Sport (DCMS) has not had discussions with
the Secretary of State for Health on this specific issue however both departments
work closely on tackling anxiety and wider mental health issues in sport.</p><p>To
date DCMS’s arm’s length body, Sport England, have invested over £8 million in projects
related to tackling mental health in sport. They work closely with mental health organisations
such as Mind and Rethink to encourage people to get active to improve their mental
health.</p><p>Sport England also works with the Office for Health Improvement and
Disparities to deliver the Moving Healthcare Professionals programme which supports
healthcare professionals to promote physical activity to patients.</p>
