answer text <p>The Government has recently announced that community wealth funds will become the fourth cause for dormant assets funding in England. Secondary legislation to enable dormant assets funding to flow to community wealth funds will be introduced as soon as Parliamentary time allows.</p><p>A community wealth fund will provide pots of funding to hyper-local communities, with spending decisions made by local residents on how to improve their communities and lives. The Government will soon launch a technical consultation on the design of this important new initiative and welcome views on how best to ensure its long-term impact.</p> more like this

answer text <p>As announced in the Spring Budget, the Government will provide over £100 million of support for charities and community organisations in England.</p><p>Around three quarters of the £100 million funding package will be targeted this year towards those frontline organisations most at risk as a result of cost of living pressures, due to increased demand from vulnerable people and higher delivery costs. The other quarter will be used to provide investment in energy efficiency measures to help civil society organisations reduce their future operating costs.</p><p>Officials are working at pace to finalise the delivery time frames and eligibility criteria. Further details, including how to apply for funding, eligibility criteria and application deadlines, will be announced as soon as possible.</p> more like this

answer text <p>The Government is clear on the importance of ensuring public access to swimming pools, as swimming is a great way for people of all ages to stay fit and healthy. The responsibility of providing this access lies at Local Authority level, and the Government continues to encourage Local Authorities to support swimming facilities. We have also confirmed an additional £60 million support package for swimming pools, which is targeted at addressing cost pressures facing public swimming pool providers and helping make facilities sustainable in the long-term.</p><p>The number of operational lidos (which includes temporary closures, of which there are currently 10) on local authority owned sites from 2019-2023 is as follows:</p><p>2019 – 82</p><p>2020 – 81</p><p>2021 – 81</p><p>2022 – 80</p><p>2023 – 81</p> more like this
