As has been the practice under successive Premiers, the incumbent Prime Minister uses Chequers consistent with the wishes of the donor, the late Sir Arthur Lee, who gave it to the nation for the use of the serving Prime Minister, for both official and private use. That remains the case.</p><p>The Intelligence and Security Agencies produce and contribute to regular assessments of State Threats, including around potential interference in UK democratic processes. We keep such assessments under review and, where necessary, update them in response to new intelligence.</p><p>The Government has robust structures in place to identify threats to democracy and, where necessary, takes proportionate action to mitigate them.
