Since then, the Crown Prosecution Service, under Phase Two of the National Disclosure Improvement Plan, has undertaken a number of activities to increase the rigour and application of the disclosure test in volume crime.</p><p> </p><p>The explosion in both the capability and use of digital technology has brought new and significant challenges to criminal investigations and prosecutions.
