Government also provide funding for individual projects to improve their visitor offer, in particular through the Discover England Fund and the Coastal Communities Fund. Portsmouth has recently received £1.75m of Coastal Communities Funding to revitalise its Victorian Arches in the Heart Battery and £50,000 of Coastal Revival Funding for the repair and refurbishment of the South Parade Pier. The Prime Minister made clear in her speech in Florence that, where possible, we want to continue to take part in specific policies and programmes which are of joint advantage to both the UK and the EU.
