This government is committed to supporting and promoting our world class arts and culture to ensure that everyone can engage and participate in them, make places better for people to live,work and visit, and boost the economy.</p><p> </p><p>Government support for arts and culture is primarily provided via the Arts Council England. answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 15/06/2018 answer text <p>We recognise the important heritage value of ex-military aircraft and equipment; however, it is for museums and other organisations to determine acquisitions appropriate for their collections. The Department for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport estimates that it has given over £500,000 towards the rescue of ex-military aircraft through the National Heritage Memorial Fund. The Heritage Lottery Fund has also provided £3.5million in support of ex-military aircraft.</p><p>The Ministry of Defence (MOD) is responsible for the disposal of ex-military aircraft and equipment. Arts Council England (ACE) are responsible for distributing funding to arts and culture organisations on behalf of the Department for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport in England.
