answer text <p>(a) The latest statistics on the number of paying parents each quarter by the Child Maintenance Service are published in Table 7 of the Child Maintenance Service: Aug 2013 to Mar 2018 (experimental) statistics available online at:</p><p><a href="https://www.gov.uk/government/statistics/child-maintenance-service-aug-2013-to-mar-2018-experimental" target="_blank">https://www.gov.uk/government/statistics/child-maintenance-service-aug-2013-to-mar-2018-experimental</a></p><p>Information up to the end of June 2018 is due to be published on 26<sup>th</sup> September 2018.</p><p> </p><p>(b) We do not monitor the level of payments received within 12 weeks of an application. Payment is not expected to commence at the point of application; there is a period during which the amount of child maintenance liability is calculated and information from all parties is gathered before a payment schedule is put in place. Payment towards this liability is expected to be arranged within 12 weeks of a payment schedule being agreed between all parties, but this may vary depending on the exact circumstances of the case.</p>

answer text <p>Whilst users are able to apply for some vacancies directly through Find a job, other adverts require jobseekers to click through to an off site advert or apply via telephone.</p><p> </p><p>To date, the Find a job service has seen over 526,000 jobseekers sign up for verified accounts, making over 42.8 million searches and 2.25 million on-site applications. There are currently over 169,000 vacancies live on the site.</p><p> </p><p>We are unable to estimate the number of vacancies filled as a result of the Find a job website since its launch in May 2018 as jobseekers and employers have no obligation to tell us of any outcome. This is consistent with other job sites.</p><p> </p><p>Additionally vacancies on Find a job are often advertised on a number of job sites. This means that often the employer will not know which site the applicant has applied from.</p> more like this

answer text <p>The 2012 Child Maintenance System (CMS2012) provides support for the full range of child maintenance administrative processes including new applications, case maintenance and enforcement.</p><p> </p><p>A Service Improvement Programme was established in April 2018, to optimise the performance and stability of the system. Significant improvements have already been implemented through both hardware and software upgrades. These changes have already resulted in quicker response times for users and compared with the period June 2017 to September 2017, the average response time of the core case management system has reduced by over 50%. We are continually working with the system’s users to make further improvements.</p><p> </p> more like this

answer text <p>The numbers of people working within the Child Maintenance Service is reviewed regularly to ensure we have sufficient resources to answer customer calls and progress cases. So far in 2018, we have recruited 510 people into the Child Maintenance Service, with these people joining us between February 2018 and August 2018. We will continue to review the volumes of work against our forecasting model to ensure that we adjust staffing levels as required.</p> more like this

answer text <p>People not entitled to Bereavement Support Payment may be entitled to income-related benefits which provide longer term assistance with everyday living costs. Those in receipt of a means-tested benefit or tax credits may qualify for a Funeral Expenses Payment if they are responsible for arranging a funeral. Families with dependent children can also receive benefits for their children such as Child Benefit.</p><p> </p><p>Information about all benefits can be found on the GOV.UK website. Jobcentre Plus staff are best placed to discuss individual circumstances and help claim any benefits. They may also be able to point people in the direction of other organisations that could be of assistance, such as Citizens Advice who can offer independent financial advice.</p> more like this
